Pool Balls

Pool balls are small, hard spheres made of synthetic materials, primarily phenolic resin or polyester, used in cue sports like eight-ball and nine-ball. They are specifically designed for consistent performance, durability, and precise play.

• Diameter: The standard diameter is 2.25 inches (57.15 mm), with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.005 inches.
• Weight: Each ball typically weighs between 5.5 and 6.0 ounces (160–170 grams).
• Material: The most common and highest quality material used is phenolic resin. Cheaper sets may be made of polyester or acrylic resins.
• Set Composition: A standard set consists of 16 balls:
  • One white cue ball.
  • Seven solid-colored balls, numbered 1 through 7.
  • Seven striped balls, numbered 9 through 15.
  • One black 8-ball
