Common Assistant Referee Signals:

• Offside: The flag is first raised straight up to stop play. After the whistle, the angle indicates the location:
  • Far side: Up at a 45-degree angle.
  • Middle: Straight out horizontally.
  • Near side: Pointed down at a 45-degree angle.
• Throw-in: Raised at a 45-degree angle pointing in the direction the awarded team is attacking.
